AUTHORITY ON CAMERA
You Know How To Command A Room. Now Learn To Command The Camera
On-camera communication training for accomplished business owners, executives and public-facing leaders who want their expertise, confidence and credibility to come through just as powerfully on screen as they do in person.
Does this sound familiar?
You can lead the meeting. Talk to a client. Explain what you do without thinking twice. Walk into a room and hold your own.
But put a camera in front of you and something changes.
You start thinking about where to look. You lose your train of thought. You stumble over words you use every day. You become stiff or overly rehearsed. You record the same 60 second video over and over because none of the takes feel quite right.
And when you finally watch it back, the woman on the screen doesn't quite sound like the woman people experience in the room.
The expertise is there. It just isn’t translating on camera the way it does in person.
That's what Authority on Camera is designed to change.
BEING GOOD ON CAMERA ISN'T SOMETHING YOU'RE BORN WITH
It's a communication skill.
And like any communication skill, it can be learned, practiced and improved.
You don't need a new personality. You don't need to memorize scripts or pretend you're an influencer. You need to understand what changes in your communication when a camera is in front of you and learn how to work through it.
Authority on Camera gives you the training, practice and feedback to do exactly that.
Video isn't just social media anymore
It's how leaders communicate.
It's how potential clients research you before they ever get on a call.
It's how expertise travels beyond the people who already know you.
And increasingly, it's part of how business gets done.
You may need to show up on camera to:
Share your expertise and thought leadership
Record videos for your business
Lead webinars or virtual presentations
Appear on podcasts
Give interviews
Promote an event or initiative
Pitch your company
Record training or internal communications
Represent your organization publicly
Respond confidently when an unexpected opportunity puts a camera or microphone in front of you
You don't have to become a content creator.
But if you are the face, voice or leader of your business, you do need to know how to communicate when the camera turns on.
WHAT IS AUTHORITY ON CAMERA?
Authority on Camera is virtual on-camera communication training designed specifically for accomplished professionals.
This isn't a course you'll buy, watch halfway through and forget about.
You will get on camera. You will practice. You will receive direct coaching and feedback.
And you'll learn what's actually happening when you don't look, sound or feel like yourself on screen.
We'll work on the mechanics of strong on-camera communication while helping you develop a way of showing up that feels natural to you.
Because the goal isn't to turn you into a performer.
It's to make the professional people already trust in person recognizable on screen.
WHAT WE'LL WORK ON
NATURAL DELIVERY: Learn how to sound like yourself instead of slipping into a stiff, overly polished "camera voice."
VOCAL PRESENCE: Understand how pace, tone, pauses, volume and emphasis affect how your message is received.
BODY LANGUAGE & EYE CONTACT: Learn what to do with your eyes, hands, posture and facial expressions so you're no longer thinking about your body while you're trying to communicate.
RECOVERING IN THE MOMENT: Stop treating every stumble like a ruined recording. Learn how to recover, keep going and trust yourself.
COMMUNICATING UNDER PRESSURE: Practice responding without over-preparing so you're better equipped for interviews, podcasts, presentations, Q&As and other unscripted situations.
MESSAGE DELIVERY: Learn how to get to the point, communicate your expertise clearly and make your ideas easier for other people to understand and remember.
1. Film & Send — A short prompt, filmed on your phone, sent to me before we meet
2. Day 1: Live Session — We review your footage, build your on-camera persona, run live coaching drills, and map your wardrobe, lighting & environment
3. Refilm & Send — Apply what we built, refilm, send it back
4. Day 2: Final Review — I show you exactly what changed and why, and hand you a personalized on-camera reference guide
5. One Real Video — You film something you actually plan to post, and I give you one final round of feedback — as a founding member, I'll also personally edit this final video into a polished, ready-to-post piece
HOW THE TRAINING WORKS
This IS for you if…
You're an established founder, executive, or public-facing professional and don't need someone to teach you how to be an expert
Your business or role is requiring you to become more visible
You know video could help you reach people beyond your existing network, but you've been avoiding it or struggling to stay consistent
You're confident in meetings and conversations but noticeably less comfortable when you're being recorded
You're beginning to pursue, or receive more speaking, podcast, interview, webinar or media opportunities
You don't want to become an influencer
You’re ready to be filmed and coached by someone directly, not just handed tips
WHAT CHANGES WHEN YOU GET BETTER AT THIS?
The goal isn't simply to make you feel more confident.
It's to make the camera less of a barrier between you and the opportunities you're trying to create.
You'll learn how to:
Speak without memorizing a script.
Organize your thoughts more quickly.
Get through a recording without starting over every time you make a mistake.
Sound more conversational and less rehearsed.
Communicate your expertise clearly and concisely.
Handle interviews and unscripted questions more comfortably.
Record videos in significantly less time.
Trust yourself enough to stop analyzing every movement and word.
And most importantly:
Show up on screen in a way that actually reflects the authority you've spent years earning.
Before launching First Bright Marketing, I spent years in corporate sales training, helping professionals become stronger communicators and more effective at delivering messages that move people.
I also hold a Bachelor's degree and an MBA, and today my work sits at the intersection of positioning, communication and visibility.
One thing became increasingly obvious as I worked with accomplished business owners and leaders:
Many of them didn't have an expertise problem.
They had trouble getting the person people experienced in meetings, conversations and rooms to show up when the camera turned on.
That's why I developed Authority on Camera.
This isn't about teaching you how to perform for social media.
It's professional communication training for a world where more and more of your leadership happens through a screen.
